A Life of Dedication Mr Tahir Ahmed Abakah’s journey in Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Ghana is one marked by dedication and sacrifice. Beginning as Naib Qaid for the Kasoa Circuit in 2014, he rose to Circuit Qaid in 2016, and later became the first Zonal Qaid for Kasoa Zone when it was established in 2018. His consistent service earned him national roles — first as Muhtamim Khidmat-e-Khalq in 2022 under Sadr Hanif Bipuah Esq, and then as Muhtamim Sihat-e-Jismani for the 2024–2025 Majlis year under Sadr Ahmed Kobina Benyarko. Life as a Tifl: An Example for Atfal As a Tifl in the Abossey Okai circuit, where Tahir Sahib began reciting the Holy Qur’an at a young age and became the first Tifl to do so at a circuit conference. Guided by a missionary father, he actively participated in Qur’an recitation and religious knowledge competitions, earning several awards for their circuit.
As he advanced through Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, his dedication to both education and service continued. Then, later assumed various leadership roles as a Khaadim. He also contributed to the male health camp team during Jalsa Salana, where he served as secretary for three years. Challenges and Commitment Tahir Sahib recalls the journey as both challenging and rewarding. Balancing multiple roles — including serving simultaneously as Circuit Qaid and Jama’at President — tested his endurance.
Building a LegacyAmong his achievements are the annual sports festival and health walk, both of which continue to unite members each year. He also helped establish a farm project to generate funds for the Majlis and an office with a library for the Majlis, which now serves as the office of the Zonal Missionary. As Zonal Qaid, his responsibilities grew, especially with Kasoa’s Maqbara Moosian, which often required his attention during major events. Despite the workload, he was part of the team that renovated the Maqbara and introduced several lasting initiatives. He also contributed to the male health camp team during Jalsa Salana, where he served as secretary for three years. Tahir Sahib mentored capable individuals to strengthen the organisation’s structure. Many of those he guided now serve in the national MKA Ghana Aamila.
Coming from a family of missionaries — his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather — Tahir Sahib sees service as a sacred duty. A Message to the Khuddam His message to the youth and leadership is clear: “Have the spirit of sacrifice. Work to leave a landmark so that those who come after you will have a story to tell. Regardless of challenges, focus on the positive and give your all.” Conclusion Mr Tahir Ahmed Abakah’s life of service reminds every Khadim that true leadership is not about recognition, but about sacrifice, consistency, and vision. Through every challenge and achievement, he continues to inspire others to serve with humility and dedication — striving always to “leave a landmark” for the next generation. MKA Ghana will always be proud of you.
