A Waqar-e-Amal (Dignity of Labour) was organized by the Koforidua Jama’at President Alhaj Issah Quacoo on October 22, 2017 for members of the Majlis in Koforidua.
Seven Khuddam weeded around the durbar grounds and cleared unwanted materials in front of the palace of the Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area. The exercise was also in support of the 20th Anniversary celebration of the Akwantukese festival.
After the exercise, an elder representing the Omanhene, Daasebre Oti Boateng, through a phone call expressed his appreciation to the Khuddam and especially the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission for always availing itself to serve humanity.
The Akwantukese festival is celebrated by the people of New Juaben traditional area to mark the epic journey of the people from Juaben in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It is celebrated in the first week of November every year.
