The Ameen programme seeks to bring together all Atfal in a particular jama’at who can read the holy book of Islam (the Quran) to read to the hearing of a gathering.
The programme started immediately after taraweeh Salat and as a result, attendance was very high. The total number of participant was 54 comprising of 24 Khuddam, 10 Ansar, 12 Atfal, 11 Nasirat and 20 Lajna.
Notable members present were Mr. Saeed Kweku Mensah (Circuit President), Mr. Ishaque Adam (Local President), Abdul Rahman Ibrahim (Murabi), Abdul Ghaffar Amosah-Mensah (Nazim Sanat-O-Tijarat) and Mr. Saeed Bin Usman (Nazim Atfal).
Two Atfal were able to read the Quran during the programme. Their names are Zafrullah Khan Ibrahim and Tahir Ibrahim.
Mr. Ishaque Adam, the Local President remarked that reading of the Qur’an protects the reader and his entire family and so members should try to read the Qur’an every day. He advised those who do not know how to read to learn to do so.
The Murabi entreated parents to push their wards to seek knowledge because knowledge has no end.
The Circuit President, Mr. Saeed Kweku Mensah proposed to the jama’at to get more murabis to teach the children the Qur’an. Through that, competitions can be created between the children under the various murabis.
Words of encouragement and pieces of advice by Nazim Atfal Mr. Saeed Bin Usman and Nazim Sanat-O-Tijarat, Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Amosah-Mensah were given to members present.
A prayer was said for the programme to come to an end. In all, it was a successful programme well attended.
Sumnyamekodur Jama’at is a small jama’at in the Twifo Praso Circuit in the Central West Region. Members of this jama’at are mainly farmers with incredible faith and believe in the Promised Messiah and Mahdi (on whom be peace).
