The National Office of the Majlis Atfal-ul Ahmadiyya Ghana is considering holding sector rallies in the country for children under its care.
The rallies to be concentrated in the northern and southern sectors of the country are also to be segmented to lower Atfal rallies (for children between 7 and 11 years) and upper Atfal rallies (for children between 12 and 15 years).
This will afford the children the opportunity to undertake all activities designed purposely for them to be completed during the rallies as the present arrangements is limited.
In an interview with the Muhtamim Atfal (National Secretary responsible for male children between the ages of 7 and 15) at the 38th Annual National Ijtema’a of the Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya Ghana at the Labone Senior High School in Accra, Mr. Ahmad Jawaad Hammond said, the Sadr Mulk has agreed to proposals for the hosting of the Atfal sector rallies after several discussions.
He said, this arrangement has become necessary as studies conducted show that the Atfal could not be mixed to compete fairly as the Atfal who are between the ages of 12 to 15 use their ages to intimidate those who are between 7 to 11 during the games.
Mr. Hammond further explained that, among plans to make the Sector Atfal rallies memorable is the introduction of excursions to tourists sites and important landmarks in the country to serve as a morale booster to enable them to study hard at school to become useful adults in the future.
