Story by Usman Yaw Baidoo, Naib Sadr, Southern Sector, MKA Ghana
Alhamdulillah the Sadr Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ghana Mr. Nasir Ahmed Bonsu and his Naib (Deputy) in charge of Southern Sector, Mr. Usman Yaw Baidoo attended the 13th Annual National Ijtema’a (Rally) of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Uganda.
The three-day ijtema’a was held in Seeta (Jamaat’s conference grounds) under the theme “Self-Reformation; A Key to National Development”. It was attended by some 1200 members of the Majlis in Uganda and delegates from Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Holland.
The Ijtema’a was graced by the Deputy Mayor of the Mukono Municipality where the Ijtema’a was held and the Ameer and Missionary in charge of Uganda Maulana Ali Khaire.
In his speech, Maulana Khaire advised members of the Majlis that in this age of high opposition to the Jamaat and unprecedented falling standards of morality in the world, the only tool for the Ahmadi youth is self-reformation. He said, “self-reformation could be achieved through fulfilling the right of Allah and the right of His creatures”.
Sadr Nasir Bonsu was honored to chair the third session of the ijtema’a. Sadr Nasir Bonsu granted several interviews to Ugandan media and pressmen who were invited to the ijtema’a.
After the closure of the ijtema’a, Sadr Nasir and other delegates were taken on a tour to a number of places such as the Mission’s farms at a historic place called Rabwa, the Mission’s acquired site for MTA studios at Korlolor, the Mission’s building for an approved Jamiatul Mubashireen at Seeta, the historic mosque in Jinja region, the source of River Nile, also in Jinja and the Makerere University Campus in Kampala.
Sadr Sahib and his Naib were exclusively taken to the Ugandan Wildlife facility for sight-seeing and also got the opportunity to meet the Ameer Sahib of Uganda. During the meeting, Mr. Nasir Bonsu received a gift on behalf of the Ameer & Missionary-In-Charge of Ghana.
The Ameer & Missionary-In-Charge of Uganda and his Sadr Majlis Khuddam wished the entire jama’at in Ghana well especially to the members of the Majlis. They both promised to attend our Jalsa Salana and Majlis Ijtema’a next year insha Allah.
