For the first time in recent history, members of Majalis Atfal and Khuddam in the Eastern Zone have held jama’at rallies to begin the new 2017/2018 Majlis year. The rallies were held between during the December 2017.
The rallies provided an opportunity for members to listen to lectures on moral and spiritual reformation, engage in competition in Islamic religious knowledge and strengthen the bond of brotherhood among the Atfal and Khuddam.
In the Akim Oda Circuit, the jama’ats which held their rallies are Achiase, Tabita, Oda Local (Oda East, West and Camp) and Akokoaso. In the Asamankese Circuit, the jamaats are Kade, Asamankese Local and Sukrong. Nkawkaw Local, Bosuso, and a joint Koforidua Local Suhyen jama’ats held their rallies.
Among the themes for the rallies were “Love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw)”, “Dedication and Sacrifice in the Cause of Allah”, “Tabligh – The Responsibility of a Khaadim”, “Importance of Salat” and “Arrogance: The Pathway to Hell”.
Sporting activities held included Sack Race, Football, Hit the Target, Lime and Spoon, Musical Chairs, Cards and Oware, a local game.
The academic competitions included Azan Calling, Salat Performance, Quiz and Yassarnal Qur’an and Qur’an reading, Qur’an memorization. “Message Delivery” was introduced at the Akim Oda local rally for the first time.
Personalities such as the Eastern Zonal Missionary, Maulvi Mubarak Ahmed Adil; Eastern Zonal Qaid, Mr. Malek Appiah Affum; Chief of Tabita, Nana Abdur Rahman Adam; ASP Dauda Ansah and Mr. Fareed Kolevi, Headmaster of Nkawkaw T.I Ahmadiyya Basic School graced the rallies in their respective circuits.
In all, 13 jama’ats from four circuits held the rallies with a total of 71 Atfal, 59 Khuddam, 28 Ansar, 29 Nasirat and 24 Lajna participating.
