The theme for the programme was; “The Long Awaited Jesus Christ Has Come”.
The opening address and prayer was delivered by the Greater Accra Regional Missionary, Maulvi Raghib Zia-ul Haq.
Hafiz Ismaeel Ahmad Adusei, the main speaker for the event dazzled his audience with thought provoking issues based on the theme of the programme. He talked about the signs that will show the prophecy second coming of Christ is fulfilled.
He quoted Matthew 24 where it is believed Jesus Christ talked about signs of his second coming which included ‘Nations rising against nations, kingdoms rising against kingdoms’ which he cited the Crimean war as an example of such wars. He explained the Crimean war was fought in 1853 – 1856 between the Russians and the British, French and Ottoman Turkish.
He also talked about the prophecy of the place of birth of the Promised Messiah where he quoted “Ezekiel 43:2” where it reads ‘behold the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory’ and “Rev 7:2” which reads ‘And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea’. He explained that the east on the map refers to Asia which is the continent of the birth of the Promised Messiah. He also talked about the eclipse of moon and many other signs.
The Chairman for the session, Mr. Nasir Ahmed Bonsu (Sadr, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ghana) urged members to learn and enquire more about Islam Ahmadiyya to strengthen their belief.
Alhaj Ibrahim Bonsu urged the khuddam to marry and not just marry but marry among the religion. He further stated any khaddim who is of marriage age and also fit to marry but not married yet is a shame to that person and shouldn’t be proud to call himself a follower of the Promised Messiah.
Alhaj Saeed Majeed, the Greater Accra Regional President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission applauded the khuddam for successfully and peacefully organising their rally and urge them to read the books of the Promised Messiah.
