On Sunday, December 10, 2017 the Sekondi jama’at held a graduation program to honour Atfal members who graciously completed the Yassarna Qur’an. The event took place at the Sekondi Central Mosque, Bakakyir. The program attracted over 86 participants comprising 52 Atfal,22 Khuddam and 12 Ansar.
The program honoured 5 Atfal members who had completed the Yassarnal Qur’an successfully. In all, four of the graduands who did not have Holy Qur’an were presented with a copy each.
The principal speaker, Murabbi Abdul Wahab Owusu, a missionary at the national headquarters commended all who had completed the Yassarnal Qur’an and added that they are the future of the jama’at. He expressed the need for Atfal members to be obedient to their parents and also take their circular and Islamic studies seriously.
The guest speaker, Murabi Ridwanullah Ahmed Numbo, Sekondi Circuit Missionary, in his speech lauded the parents’ move to provide Holy Qur’an to Atfal after completing the Yassarnal Qur’an and urged them to continue this kind gesture.
The chairman, Maulvi Shamsudeen Boateng, who is the Tarkwa Zonal Missionary expressed his joy for the program and urged parents to strive to ensure that their wards are always punctual and regular to Atfal classes since absenteeism hinders the progress of the classes.
