Essaman Kakraba Jamaat held their first annual Jama’at rally on the 9th and 10th of December 2017. The rally is the second Majlis Jamaat rally in the newly created Tarkwa Zone. Essaman Kakraba Jamaat is among the active Jamaats in the zone. The rally was attended by 22 Khuddam and 9 Atfal.
The rally commenced with religious academic competitions on Saturday evening for both Atfal and Khuddam in the areas of Holy Quran reading, Holy Quran memorization, Quiz, Extempore speech, message delivery, Al-Qaseeda, Salat performance and Azan Calling.
The blessed morning of the next day was used for sporting activities for both Khuddam and Atfal in the areas of Ludu, Draft, playing of cards, Owari, musical chairs and throw the ball.
The main session which was chaired by Mr. Ibrahim Quansah (Qaid Dila, Wassa West) started at 11:00 am on the 10th of December 2017. A Tifil, Abdul Rahman Quaye recited the Holy Quran to begin the main session.
Murabi Abdul Kaleem Ibrahim (Wassa West Circuit Missionary), gave the opening address and opening prayer. In his speech, he advised members to be polite in all their conversations and to be punctual in their prayers and Jamaat activities. He also encouraged members to be obedient to those in authority and the institution of Khilafat.
Mr. Uthman Abubakar, the Jamaat Qaid welcomed all members and dignitaries to their First annual Jamaat Rally. He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and thanked all participants for honoring the occasion. The theme for the rally was “The Health of the Khuddam, The Strength of the Jamaat”.
Mr. Muhammed Doodu, a nurse at Goldfields Hospital in Tarkwa spoke on the theme. He explained the causes and preventive measures for some common diseases such as Hepatitis and HIV. He also briefed members on the differences between viral and bacterial diseases.
He encouraged members to always create awareness for some common diseases. He further advised members to engage themselves in good eating habits and also to eat more fruits and vegetables.
In his conclusion, Mr. Doodu encouraged members to keep proper hygiene by frequently washing their hands. He also urged members to regularly engage in keep-fit activities.
After his speech question answers section was held for members. Those who performed well in the various competitions were awarded.
The chairman in his closing remarks urged members to try and improve their religious knowledge.
