Central East Region held its 2nd Regional Atfal rally at Agona Nsaba. The rally was held on the 5th – 6th of May 2017 with a total participants of 267.
The rally started immediately after jumu’ah where sporting activities took place. Games such as football, table tennis, sack race and line and spoon were held. The day ended with maghrib and ishah prayers after which academic competitions were held. Academic competitions covered Azan Calling, Salat Performance, Quiz, Qur’an Recitation, Qur’an Memorization, Al-Qaseeda and To the Nations Youth.
On day two, tahajud and fajr prayers were said. Sporting competition was continued to the final stage followed by Zuhr and Asr Salat. The final session was chaired by Hanif Krampah from Agona Circiut. The rally was blessed with 18 Aamila members of Central East Region and the acting Regional Missionary.
Ibrahim Arthur read a portion of the Holy Qur’an followed by recitation of Al-Qaseeda with translation by Ahmad Odoom, both from the Asikuma Circiut. The Acting Regional Missionary and Circuit Missionary for Agona Circuit led the opening prayer and address. Headvised the Atfal to be regular in offering their five daily prayers as commanded by Allah. He also urged them to take their religion and circular education serious.
There were songs of praise by majlis members from Mando Circuit. Abdul Malik Hammond (Nazim Atfal) gave a key note address on the theme of the rally “An upright Tifl, an asset to the society”. He advised all Atfal to show total obedience to Allah, their leaders and parents.
Awards were presented to the best competitors of the various competition.The rally ended with closing prayer led by Mr Nurudeen Adumuah( Crcuit Qaid of Essiam).
