Story by Ibrahim Ahmed Botwe, Nazim Atfal Ilaqa, Eastern Region
Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Botwe, the Eastern Regional Atfal Nazim, has called on members of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya in the Asamankese Circuit to take their daily prayers seriously and perform them on time. He advised the Atfal to take their weekly lessons seriously, make friends from the Jama’at and minimize the time they spend with their non-Ahmadi friends so that they would have enough time for their religious activities.
Mr. Botwe said this at a sports event organised for members of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya in the Asamankese Circuit on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Sukrong Methodist School field.
The programme commenced at exactly 6:30am. Both the Atfal and the few Khuddam present formed two teams and played a football match. At the end of the match, the team with many Atfal won by 5 goals to 2.
After the football match, the participants had their breakfast. During that period, Mr. Ibrahim Tawiah, the Asamankese Circuit Nazim Sihat-e-Jismane (Sports Secretary) advised the members to exercise their bodies for 30 minutes at least three times a week. He added that they should avoid chilled drinks especially after a long walk or exercise as it is detrimental to the heart.
The Sukrong Jama’at Qaid, Mr. Ibrahim Donkor and immediate past Asamankese Circuit Qaid, Mr. Ibrahim Ofosu also advised the Atfal to respect their parents, the elderly and their friends in the community.
At about 9am, Mr. Ibrahim Ofosu led the participants in a silent prayer for the end of the event in which 10 Khuddam and 20 Atfal participated. May Allah, the Almighty bless all who contributed to the success of the event. Ameen!
