The office of Sanat-O-Tijarat, Central West Region in collaboration with Assin South Circuit has gone into maize farming in Bankyease. The circuit becomes the second to venture into maize farming in this Majlis year in the region.
The one acre parcel of land was donated by a Nasir Mr. Kwofi Mahadi Antobam. The Circuit Qaid, Mr Rashid Annan, upon being shown the land quickly organized his members to weed and prepare the land for planting to start. In all, 20 members comprising of 15 Khuddam and 5 Atfal participated in the weeding of the land.
During the planting of the maize, nine members comprising of six Khuddam and three Atfal turned up for the exercise. Despite the low turn up, morale was very high during the planting as members engaged themselves with jama’at songs.
Three Nazimeen from the Regional Aamila, Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Amosah-Mensah (Nazim Sanat-O-Tijarat), Mr. Saeed Bin Usman (Nazim Atfal) and Mr Harrison (Additional Nazim Mutamad) have inspected the progress made so far on the farm.
Addressing the members present on the farm, Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Amosah-Mensah (Nazim Sanat-O-Tijarat), thanked the Circuit Qaid and his members for listening to his advice and going ahead to engage themselves in an income generating project. He praised them for showing great spirit in engaging themselves in jama’at activities. He encouraged them not to be discourage when some members of the Majlis refuse to show up for Jama’at activities.
Mr. Amosah-Mensah warned them to stay away from people who would discourage them from partaking in Jamaa’t activities because such people will only stop them from earning the favour and blessings of Allah.
Mr. Saeed Bin Usman (Nazim Atfal) advised them not to deviate from the path they have chosen because it is the right path and it is full of blessings.
