20 Khuddam from Cape Coast, Abura and Essarkyir Circuits of the Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya, Ghana (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization) visited the inmates at the Ankaful Maximum Prison on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 to interact with them and give them hope.
The prison officers led eight Khuddam led by Muhtamimeen Tarbiyyat and Sihat-e-Jismane, Ustaz Ishaque Ibrahim Amfoh and Musah Kofi Amissah respectively to interact with muslim inmates and engage them in a tabligh session.
Addressing the inmates, Ustaz Ishaque Amfoh indicated that there was the need for muslims to be ambassadors of peace wherever they find themselves because Islam stands for peace.
Muhtamim Sihat-e-Jismane (Fitness and Health), Mr. Musah Kofi Amissah encouraged the inmates to exercise regularly to stay healthy because one can only serve Allah well in a healthy state.
Mr. Saeed Bin Usman, Nazim Atfal for Central West Region, reminded the inmates that for one to practice Islam and become an ambassador of peace, it requires a strong understanding of it. “The strong person is not the one who defeats others in wrestling but the strongest person is the one who can control his anger”, he said. He admonished the inmates to be guided by the above quote and remain tolerant to bring peace in all their endeavours.
The visit was climaxed with a football match between the Majlis and a selected team from the inmates. The Deputy Commander of the Ankaful Prison facility commissioned the match and encouraged both teams to play as friends. The football match ended 4–3 in favour of the inmates after a competitive but joyous encounter. There was refreshment for both teams after the match.
For security reasons, the Majlis was not permitted to take any photograph of the event.
