The Majlis of Wa East Circuit on Saturday, January 28, 2017 embarked on a clean-up exercise at Golipaani. The main activity during the exercise was disilting gutters in the vicinity.
The gutters are major waterways when it rains but poor sanitation practices such as indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the gutters render them chocked and subsequently lead to floods whenever there were heavy rains.
The exercise was not only beneficial to the members in the vicinity but also attendants of the mosque because a section of the gutter runs opposite to the Ahmadiyya Central Mosque.
The Regional Qaid, Iddriss Yusham and the Wa East Circuit Qaid, Salih Mahmud led the team to undertake the clean-up exercise successfully. Clean-up exercises are part of yearly routine programme of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association under its service to humanity project.
