The Abura Circuit of the Central West Zone of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ghana has held its 4th Annual Atfal rally at Abubonko on November 18, 2017. The rally was held on the theme Salat; A key to Paradise.
In his opening address, Murabi Ahmed Boaheng, Abura Circuit Missionary reminded the gathering that Atfal is the foundation of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, and the Ahmadiyya community as a whole. He urged the Atfal to build themselves very well as they grow, adding that they will soon take over the mantle of leadership of the Jama’at. He also advised them to take their Salat and Qur’an studies seriously and be very obedient and speak the truth all the time.
The Abura Circuit Nazim Atfal, Mr. Saeed Ahmad Abakah welcomed participants to the event by stressing on some of the significance of Jama’at rallies. He said rallies were opportunities for socializing with different people and also a source of blessing from Allah.
Delivering the main address for the occasion, a tifl by name Master Abdul Shakur Abakah from the Abura Jama’at settled on Holy Qur’an 29:46 to advice his colleagues to observe their prayers in the prescribed manner and at it approved times. He mentioned that the ability of man to worship his Creator will lead to the avoidance of indecency and evil acts. He cautioned the gathering that abandoning or failure to observe Salat at its rightful time may lead to unrighteousness, which the Holy Prophet had spoken against. In strengthening the bond with man’s Creator, he quoted the Promised Messiah as saying “I tell you again that if you wish to establish a true relationship with Allah, hold fast to Salat in such a way that your body, your tongue, your intentions, your soul and emotions shall all become true embodiment of Salat.” He ended his speech by saying that, Salat has been made obligatory to man by Allah and man shall be accountable for it.
Mr. Sadique Bin Usman showed his appreciation to the Abura Circuit Atfal for their immense contribution in both regional and national programmes. He added that, this contribution can only be maintained if they take both secular and religious studies serious. He also advised the Atfal to pay their dues regularly.
Giving a vote of thanks at the end of the rally, Mr. Yaqub Buabeng, Zonal Nazim Atfal showed appreciation to all Aamila members and the participants for their immense support towards the success of the rally.
A total of 100 circuit members attended the rally. This comprised of 78 Atfal, 18 Khuddam, 1 Ansarullah, 1 Lajna, and 2 Nasirat from the circuit. Also in attendance were 6 Zonal Aamila members and 10 Circuit Aamila members.
Academic competitions organized during the rally included Qur’an reading, Azan Calling and Quiz. The rally ended with a football match between Abura Jama’at and Abubonko Jama’at.
